Etsu Egami, born in 1994 in Chiba, Japan, lives and works in Tokyo. She studied at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design in Germany and at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. She has shown paintings in major art hubs internationally.
Her work has already entered the collection of institutions including CAFA Art Museum in Beijing, Moscow’s Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, and E-Land Foundation in Seoul and has been exhibited at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, USA, at the Hiroshima Wood One Museum, Hiroshima, Japan, at the Chinese Academy of Oil Painting Museum, Beijing, China, at the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing, China and at the Research House for Asian Art, Chicago, USA among others. From 16 June – 15 July 2024, Etsu Egami’s work was exhibited at the Roppongi Museum in Tokyo, Japan in a group exhibition called 'Miss Dior – Stories of a Miss' and will be featured the Dior permanent art collection.
